Each space is an extra fold in a singular roof. Daylighting, solar power and green roofs also mix strongly into the butterfly design's natural concept and integrate the facility more wholly with outdoor spaces.

The program is organized around a central spine that creates visual connections along the central corridor. Wider-than-average public space allows people to navigate freely and locate halls quickly.

The Kintex Expo Center is the fifth largest exhibition space in Asia, allowing multiple events to be held at once and the flexibility to reconfigure space at a moment’s notice.

Restaurants and shops are located within the central atrium space to enhance energy and revenue generation during non-event times and service nearby office and residential areas of Goyang City.
